“The wide range of extra-curricular activities, including visits, enriches the curriculum and these activities are very popular. Students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is exceptionally well promoted and pervades the life of the academy.”
At SBN, we offer a lot more than academic excellence. We offer a wide range of activities to all students from all Year groups. Enrichment helps students to develop their interests and abilities, provides valuable learning experiences outside their studies, and promotes independence and interpersonal links with students in other Years.
The students have been split into groups and do the activities on a three weekly rota system.
The Enrichment sessions run during Period 6 every Thursday and all students participate – with the exception of those who have extra curriculum lessons.
The staff, who are running the sessions available this term, have written what the aims and objectives will be for their particular club. They have also given a brief outline of what they will be doing each week – see below
The activities available will change every term so that more enriching opportunities are available to all students.
The Enrichment programme got off to a good start today and “Exciting”, “interesting”, “challenging” and “fun” are just a few of the words that have been used to describe the current clubs on offer!
