KS2 SATs Results

In Year 6 students sit the National SATs tests to assess their attainment and progress measured against their KS1 results (estimated) alongside baseline assessments carried out when they first join our school in Year 3.

Data for the class is measured in Reading, Writing, Maths and Reading, Writing and Maths combined:

  1. % Estimated is calculated using students with KS1 prior attainment.
  2. % Actual is based on the KS2 SATs results completed at the end of Year 6.
  3. The difference is recorded as a %.
  4. The Gap is the difference expressed as the number of students.

The percentage of students achieving the ‘expected standard’ in English reading, English writing and Mathematics at the end of key stage 2 is measured against the students’ average scaled score. This is estimated to be 100+ in Reading and Maths, and 103+ in Writing which is teacher assessed. There is a similar measure used to track those students who have achieved a higher standard at the end of KS2. For this a student must have a ‘high scaled score’ of 110+ in reading and mathematics; and have been teacher assessed in writing as ‘working at a greater depth within the expected standard’ with a standardised measure of 113.
