On the morning of Friday, 15th September, Year 5 had the pleasure of meeting with Mr and Mrs Boggis, two locals from the village, to find out about how Stoke by Nayland has changed over the years.

Every year Mr and Mrs Boggis astonish us with their extensive knowledge of the buildings and ex-inhabitants and once again the weather was fantastic for our walk and tour.

When we returned to school, the children were asked to complete an SDL project and answer one of two Big Questions. “How has Stoke by Nayland changed over the years?” or “What was Stoke by Nayland like 500 years ago?”

This Tuesday, Mr and Mrs Boggis returned to see what the children had been working on.  The presentations and work produced were amazing.  We had powerpoints, booklets, files of work, models and even costumes.  The work was of a very high standard – congratulations Year 5, an excellent start to the year.
